Know your options

Choice is powerful, but only if you know your options.

Each year 450 new cases of HIV are diagnosed in the Memphis area. The sad fact is that this spread could be prevented by offering choice. By choosing knowledge over prejudice, fact over ignorance and action over negligence, we can offer hope and health to our family members, friends and neighbors.

Caritas Village is enlisting artists to raise awareness and reduce the stigma of HIV and AIDS through artistic interpretation. Conversations inspired through art will help open our community and our minds to choice- the choice that offers hope and healing.

Considering alternative perspectives creates empathy. By fostering an empathic perspective of the disease and its impact on our community, we encourage individuals to embrace each other and choose hope over prejudice.

Prevention and treatment options are available for HIV. HIV is not a death sentence. Ignorance is! Join the conversation. Choose LIFE OVER AIDS.

This project is sponsored by Caritas Village and funded by a grant from the Mid-South AIDS Fund. The mission of [choice] LIFE OVER AIDS is to increase community awareness program to prevent future infections, reduce the stigma associated with being HIV positive, and educate the greater Memphis community about healthy choices when living with HIV and AIDS.

Aids Ribbon Small People who do not have HIV need interventions that will enable them to protect themselves from becoming infected.
